Networking Telstra BigPond Wireless Next-G

So I despirately needed to get 2 computers networked to my 'Telstra Wireless Next-G' internet... however, no matter what method I tried, I couldn't make the connection... The hardware setup consisted of 2 computers running Windows Vista, a USB Next-G Modem on 1 machine running a cross-over LAN cable between the two machines...

I discovered a method that works well with Windows Vista machines. (Windows XP is not such an easy task!) If you want to use a wireless modem over The network do the following:

1. on the Computer with the modem, Activate Internet Connection Sharing on the WAN Driver @ 3GPP Connection.

2. on the other computer, the settings need to be:
IP: 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1

3.Test!

This also works well with a network hub, I'm currently running this setup with a 12 port hub! ;)
Note however that this method could be a little unstable.
